More Information

Wire forming is a process used to bend metal, creating custom shapes and designs. This is necessary in all kinds of industries, including aerospace, construction, military and furniture. AWC Industries specializes in high-end wire forming and metal bending. Our state-of-the-art CNC wire forming facilities can bend and fabricate metal wires up to one inch in diameter.

We use a combination of mandrel wire benders, press wire benders, draw wire benders, Vaill wire end formers and Tauring 3 ring wire rollers to produce our finished goods. No matter what shape of metal wire you want, whether it is round, oval, square or rectangle, we can help you meet your needs. Besides bending wires into various types of desirable shapes, we also provide them with fine finishing either with chrome plating, zinc plating or powder coating.

AWC Industires is one of the most experienced and successful wire forming firms in North America. We design and manufacture custom wire bending equipment, including extrusion systems, punch machines, and trimming equipment. We also offer a full range of services related to wire forming.

CNC Wire Forming

CNC wire forming is the process of bending wire using a computer-controlled machine. CNC wire forming machines are able to bend wire in a variety of shapes and sizes, and can be used to form large, complex shapes.

High-Volume Wire Forming and Machining

Wire forming is a process that allows you to create a shape from a piece of metal wire. The process is used in many industries, including automotive, aerospace and medical. Wire forming can be done on an automated machine (CNC).

When wire forming, you first need to determine the length and diameter of your desired product before making any cuts on the material. Once you have made these initial measurements, you will then start feeding the raw material into your machine with either an automatic feeder or manually by hand. When feeding your raw materials into the machine they will come through what is called an eye roller which grabs onto each wire segment and pushes it forward into the next station where it gets bent or formed into shape depending upon what type of tooling has been installed onto that particular station for bending purposes (loop dies or coil springs).

Large-Bend Wire Forming

Large-bend wire forming is a process that uses a metal plate to form metal tubes into different shapes and sizes. These tubes are often used in the automotive industry, but they can be used for many other applications as well.

Benefits of Large-Bend Wire Forming:

  • It’s fast, efficient, and cost effective
  • The process creates uniform bends at an increased speed

Applications of Large-Bend Wire Forming:

  • Automotive components (such as assemblies)
  • Roof rack systems

How Does Large-Bend Wire Forming Work?

Small-Bend Wire Forming

Small-Bend Wire Forming

Small-bend wire forming is a process that can be used to make small-radius bends in metal wires. The small bend is created by feeding the metal through a series of dies in a machine. Most small-bend machines use multiple dies so that several bends are made at one time, but some designs include only one die for making multiple bends.

The purpose of this type of bending is to create more complex shapes out of straight wire than could be done by hand or with larger machines. It’s often used for making jewelry, but it can also be employed for constructing things like car parts and other industrial components.

Computerized Bending Equipment

Computerized Bending Equipment

Computerized Bending Equipment is the most efficient way to bend wire. Wire bending machines are used for many different applications, including making jewelry, shaping weapons and tools, creating musical instruments and electronics. These machines use computer numerical control (CNC) technology to precisely adjust their angles and positions. This allows them to create any shape of bend that you need from your wire or sheet metal. Wire bending machines can also be used in combination with other manufacturing equipment such as laser cutters for even more customization options!

Wire Forming Capabilities

Wire forming capabilities are a significant aspect of the wire forming process. It is very versatile and has many uses, including producing a wide range of products.

Wire forming is used to create:

  • Shapes, such as pendants and rings
  • Cords and ropes

Custom Wire Forming and Machining

Wire forming is a process that bends metal wire into shapes. It is used to make parts for many industries, including automotive, aerospace and defense, and medical. The process can be performed on a CNC machine or manually with a press.

A skilled wire former can use the tooling of his choice to create intricate shapes with precise dimensions and tolerances.

2D wire bending is used to bend wires in one plane. It can be used for 90 degree bends, 180 degree bends and 270 degree bends.

The machine uses a rotating turret that holds the parts to be bent. The part is clamped on top of the rotating turret which moves radially through the bending machine while being rotated by an electric motor with variable speed control. The wire enters between two jaws and passes around sharp edged rollers as it rotates through them until it leaves through another set of jaws at right angles to its original position.

3D wire bending is a process in which a wire is bent into a 3D shape. The most common applications of this technique are found in the aerospace and automotive industries, where it is used to produce complex geometries that would otherwise be impossible to manufacture using traditional techniques.

In the medical field, 3D wire bending can be used to create small surgical instruments or implants. The surgeon uses these devices during surgery to repair or replace damaged tissues or bone structures.

Wire machining is a process that cuts or shapes a wire or other material. It can be used to make parts that are too small to be made with conventional methods, such as at the microscale level. While there are different types of wire machining methods (such as laser wire cutting and electroslag welding), they all utilize heat in order to cut or shape the material.

Wire forming is a process that uses a wire to create a shape. This process can be used to create parts for the automotive, aerospace and medical industries. It can also be used to create parts that are complex and intricate.

The process of wire forming is a relatively new concept for many industries, but it’s quickly becoming an important aspect of manufacturing. If you need help with wire forming or machining, we can help! Give us a call today!
